About Omamori
An Omamori (御守り) is a sacred object designed to fulfill people's wishes for protection against misfortune (yakuyoke), attraction of good luck (shōfuku), and divine protection (kago). They are also known as gofu or ofu. In Western terms, they might be compared to amulets, talismans, charms, tefillin, or fetishes.
